Literature Text

I don't have the patience or the time
I said I wouldn't let go of you
You'd always be mine
But you see, I don't want to argue
Oh darling, I really don't want to fight.

Does it really matter
Who's wrong and who's right?
We start yelling so late at night
We don't stop until the sun leaks through the blinds
Finally, we realize that it's daylight

Maybe you can win me back
Do you have any jokes to make me laugh?
Any words to make me smile?
No?
Well now, don't you feel so bad.

Isn't it a shame
How you made me tame
Now it doesn't matter, I'm wild again
There's no way to cure me
I'm just too insane

Now look here
Who's the one that's hurting, dear?
Even though I want to be sincere,
I going to have to kick you out
I'm sorry but you've got to get out of here

I guess you'll keep on going on and on
Calling me a pacifist and headstrong
You leave willingly,
And I know that one day we'll sit down and talk
Tracing the clues of what made everything fall apart.
Which one is it more of- a poem or a song?

I'm imagine it being melodic, what do you think? :)

PS: I know there is no chorus, bridge, blah blah blah.... :]

FEEDBACK/WRITTEN REVOLUTION : Do you think this song could potentially have a high chance of getting chosen? What do you like MOST about this piece and what do you like LEAST? If there was an famous artist that sang this, who would you image singing it?

Thank you SO MUCH for taking the time to put your input and consideration into this. :D You guys are awesome :handshake:

Personally I find the piece more of a poem than a song because songs typically have a more even meter. However, since I'm not at all musically inclined and I don't have any sound to work with I can't really tell for sure. XD
I don't really know what you mean by the song being chosen, but if you mean being made into a real produced song then I say definitely go for it. Give it some music (Unless you have that already; I have no idea) and give it a shot! :D
My least favourite part is the "We start yelling so late at night/We don't stop until the sun leaks through the blinds/Finally, we realize that it's daylight" because the middle line is so unusually long compared to the other two. It just kind of throws off the rhythm a bit.
My favourite part is the "And I know that one day we'll sit down and talk/Tracing the clues of what made everything fall apart." because I love the imagery associated with it.
Can't think of a famous artist who would sing this. I know next to nothing about music. XD
